SAVANNAH – Ola Exley Mullino, 91, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Savannah Square. Born October 7, 1916 in Pineora, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ola Simmons Exley and William Mallette Exley, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, John Howard Mullino, Sr., her sister, Frances Exley Giles, and her brother, William Mallette Exley, Jr.
She was an honor graduate of Wesleyan College and a lifelong member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church. She devoted her life to caring for and serving others as an expression of her faith. She was a longtime member of the Savannah Golf Club and the Savannah Yacht Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Mullino Wagner and Beryl Wagner of Raleigh, NC; her son and daughter-in-law, John H. Mullino, Jr. and Jane Griffin Mullino of Savannah; four grandchildren, Dawn W. Shriver of Winston-Salem, NC, Robin S. Wagner of Raleigh, NC, Karen W. Gilchrest of Cary, NC, and Brian M. Wagner of Raleigh, NC; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2008, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2008, at Goshen United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rincon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances be made to Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church, 429 Abercorn St., Savannah, GA 31401 or Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
